The player market allows you to sell many things, such as units, Airmech skins, items, cosmetics (including pets), and some other items. The market allows you to buy things at lower prices or things that are limited edition and no longer available by regular means; however, it is just as easy to buy something overpriced if you do not buy carefully and do your research. Some things are notable for being unsellable. Such things include Holiday Pudding, Trial Units, colors and badges (the badges themselves, some people go around this buy selling the entire collections needed for certain badges).
Player Market Taxes[]
Players all start out with 15% tax added to the items they place on the market. The buyers pay the added tax cost. Players can reduce their taxes by using consumable items referred to as Tax Books. Reducing your tax rate allows your items posted on the market to be cheaper than others who have higher tax rates. The Tax Books should be used in a specific order starting with the Book of Tax Shelters. Lowering your taxes essentially increases your ability to be competitive on the player market and maximize your profits. The lowest tax rate a player can have is 6% by using the Book of Tax Havens.
Example: You place an item for 100 Diamonds on the Market and have only 10% tax added (resulting in a 110 Diamond price displayed to buyers). This will most likely get bought before someone else who posts the same item for the same cost except with 15% taxes added (thus posting on the market for a total of 115 Diamonds).
Wishlist[]
If you see an item on the market that you would like to have but do not to have enough diamonds to purchase, you can add it to your wishlist. To add an item to your wishlist, click on the item in the market and press the Red Bow in the bottom left hand corner of the popup. This will add it to your wishlist. To remove an item from your wishlist, click the Red Bow again.
To access your wishlist, type /wishlist in the info chat tab, and your entire list will appear.
Type /makeawish in faction chat to display a faction members wish, and if you're feeling generous make their wish come true!
Market Listings[]
By default all players will be able to have a maximum of 3 items listed on the market at a time. In order to increase the number of listings, you can acquire a Book of Econ 1, which is a consumable item that allows you to increase your maximum market listings to 5. Similarly, Book of Econ 2 and Book of Econ 3 will allow you to have up to 15 market listings. Some books are available in the Shop while others are Rare Drops, and some can be crafted with the Nanoforge.
